Hey honeys! I hope you all doing well during this very very strange time. As most of us know, Mother’s Day is coming up and just because we are inside does not mean we can’t still celebrate! It’s so important to celebrate the people we love in any way that we can, while staying safe of course. I love showing my mom how much I appreciate and love her on this extra special day, but now I’ve had to think about how to do that, while being inside. And add having to budget too since I’ve been out of work for over a month (where is my check?!!!). Here is a list of the amazing ways to celebrate Mother’s Day at home.

Brunch is the Best
Now who doesn’t love breakfast after 12 with a mimosa (or a Bellini if that’s your flow) in hand?! For previous Mother’s Days, my family would head to one of the many brunch places in Los Angeles and celebrate there. Luckily, with the power of Pinterest, you can bring brunch into your home. Show your labor of love and cook moms up a delicious 3 course brunch.
You can start off with some cinnamon French toast sticks, something to hold the fam over while you’re making the main course! Cook up a delicious veggie omelette or the perfect fluffy vegan pancakes with a side of fresh fruit and hashbrowns! Finish it up with her favorite dessert or these cute mini lemon cheesecakes. If your mom is a brunch lover, this will for sure will be the perfect thing for her.

Create an Amazing Scrapbook
Personally my mother is a picture hoarder (as am I) and will create a scrapbook in a heartbeat. There are so many easy ways to create your own Mother’s Day scrapbook. You can gather up your favorite pictures of your mom that you have on your phone and get them printed at Walgreens. Then head over to Michael’s and gather materials to create and decorate your own.
Opting to hand make a scrapbook definitely gives you complete creative control and makes things more personal. Or you can order a scrapbook from Walgreens or Shutterfly! I made a scrapbook through Shutterfly for my boyfriend for Valentine’s Day. It was so beautiful that I’m mad I didn’t order one for myself lol. You can click here and get a free Shutterfly book for Mother’s Day! Order soon though so you can get it in time.

A Couple of Gifts Never Hurt Anyone
Raise your hand if one your mother’s love languages is gift giving (slowly raises hands, mine is too though). Now this is for those who can splurge a little bit okay. You want to get a nice basket or box, like this one, and completely fill it with all her favorite things.
I’m thinking perfumes, a couple of gift cards to some of her favorite places, a few things off her Amazon wish list, a nice lounge wear set, a few candles (check my list of some amazing candles here) and whatever else you know mama would love to receive. And a more affordable gift basket idea could be a nice stay at home basket. You can fill it with her favorite snacks, a favorite movie, a face mask or 2 and a bottle of wine.

A Complete Spa Day
Now if your mom is like my mom, she loves the spa so much and talks about it constantly! Usually every year I buy my mom a Burke Williams gift card, but with it not being accessible right now, an at home spa day is an amazing alternative. You will basically be waiting on her hand and foot, and I mean she deserves it right? Start the spa day off with a nice fruit layout and bottle of champagne. Have her slip into a comfy robe and go prepare the “spa”! Have a playlist with some of her favorite, relaxing songs and run a warm bath. Fill it with roses, a nice bath soak or bath milk and place a couple of candles in there too. If she’s also into skin care, you can have her choose from an array of face masks!
Check out Facetory for some great affordable sheet masks and get $15 off your purchase with this link. Once she’s done with her bath, you can treat her to some more champagne of course, and a nice oil/body butter massage. You can use her favorite moisturizers for this! Finish the spa day with some contactless delivery from her favorite place for lunch or cook something you’ll know she’d enjoy.

Flowers, Sweets and a Card
This is an old but goodie and gets the job done! You can literally never go wrong with this combo. Stop by any grocery store (or if you have a flower mart by you that may be open) and pick up a nice bouquet or your mom’s favorite flowers. You can stop by the candy aisle and pick up a few of her favorite candies, order her some from See’s Candies, or maybe support a local bakery and get a nice small cake in her favorite flavor. And of course a beautiful Mother’s Day card!
You can pick up a card at a Target, CVS, Walgreens or support a small business and order one from an Etsy shop. Write in the card all the ways you love your mom and you can throw in a gift card too if you’d like. This is one of my favorite ways to show how much I appreciate my mom when I can’t always shower her in Sephora goodies!
I hope this list has given you some amazing ideas to celebrate Mother’s Day at home! How do you think you’ll show mama some love this year? Let me know down below!

These are great ideas. I just ordered a cute little mother’s day gift for the ladies in my life. I’m going to drive to their home and leave the gift on their steps and call them and have them open the door after I leave.

Love this! My mom never wants anything but I love doing things to make her feel special. This year I’m probably going to make her some baked goods, a cake and/or sugar cookies but brunch at home is also a really good idea!
Stacie
I usally get flowers and a card and go out but that changes this year. I plan to give myself a spa day though. We’ll see!

My mom lives two hours away from me, and during this time it’s best to not visit her at the moment, but reading this just gave me an idea to send her some products she could use for a spa day! I’ve never done that before, so it would be something different. Thanks for the idea!
