Hey honeys! So if you’ve been keeping up with the news or social media, I am sure you have seen the drama surrounded by the Honey Pot Company.
Target has been playing an ad specifically for Black History Month with the owner, Beatrice Dixon, viewing her products and telling her story. The commercial ends with Ms. Bea saying, “The reason why it’s so important for Honey Pot to do well, is so the next black girl that comes up with a great idea, she could have a better opportunity.” View commercial below!
A great message, a great commercial, right? Right.
But apparently some white women didn’t think so and decided to negatively rate and review the Honey Pot Company, and honestly it was the best thing they could do.
Everybody and they mama (especially Black women, I love us for real) came out and showed up to support this Black-owned business and it is now currently almost sold out everywhere in stores and online!
Luckily I had the opportunity to try out some products from Honey Pot a few months ago and I’d love to share my experience with the brand so you can be prepared for the next restock!
I decided I wanted to go a more natural route with my feminine hygiene products and Honey Pot was the first company that caught my eye. And its Black-woman owned so you know I HAD to support.
I will say vagina a lot so be prepared for that lol.
Sensitive Foaming Wash
We know that vaginas are literally one of the most sensitive things in the world. You wear the wrong pair of jeans and your vagina’s world is ROCKED. So I opted for the sensitive options when it comes to cleaning!
I absolutely love this wash, it isn’t scented which is perfect because it isn’t irritating and leaves you fresh! I like to use it after a night of sweating or wearing tight clothing and during my period. You only need a little bit so this bottle will last you a long time! And they come in travel sizes too.
Sensitive Feminine Wipes
So I bought these to carry with me specifically while I’m at pole class or if I know I have a long day ahead of me and will need to freshen up.
Now you know how vaginas are really picky? Well she did not enjoy these surprisingly. It made me have almost a burning sensation when I first tried out. I am not sure specifically what in the ingredients of the wipes that doesn’t agree with me, but remember all vaginas are not the same so try it out and let me know how it works for you!
Super Herbal Pads with Wings
I am a heavy flow girl so super everything is necessary. These pads do have a pretty good coverage and I love that they include mint, which gives the vagina a great, not too intense, cooling feeling. These pads are made with vaginal health in mind as well as they are made of pesticide-free cotton, aloe vera to soothe any irritation, rose to reduce any inflammation and lavender to keep that vagina calm!
My only issue is with the strength of the adhesive. For me it shifted often and that made me weary of some possible leakage. And I did have some slip ups, but luckily I was in the comfort of my home.
Overnight Herbal Pads
Again, your favorite heavy flow girl, I decided to try out the overnight pads because I assumed it would give me better coverage and I was right! This pad is about 2’’ longer than the super pads (13’’ vs 11’’) and those inches matter okay! The only downside is that there are only 12 in the pack compared to the 16 that are in the super size.
Everyday Herbal Panty Liners
I like to have these on the days when my period is supposed to have ended. We all know those moments where you think you’re done bleeding for the month and SURPRISE! You’re now making toilet paper pads in the bathroom and tying your jacket around your waist.
These have the same properties as the pads, just no wings! And I do find that these stick well to my underwear!
The Honey Pot Company is an amazing company and I am so glad more people will now try them out!
Have you tried some items from them yet? Let me know!
