One thing about me.. Imma buy me some skincare okay! I have loved finding new Black Owned skincare brands that really make my skin feel amazing! Skincare to me is a big part of my self-care routine because to know I’m taking care of my skin is something that makes me feel good inside and out. And I will ALWAYS be an avid supporter of Black owned brands. Here are 5 Black-owned skincare brands I’ve been loving and I think your skin will love too.
5 Black Owned Skincare Brands
Klur
I have their daily moisture cleanser, Gentle Matter, and it is perfect for those with sensitive skin. It is non-foaming, unscented and cleanses your skin gently. It lifts impurity while keeping your skin perfectly moisturized. They also have a plethora of other products ranging from serums to concentrates and I can’t wait to get my hands on them as well.
Delish Condish
I found out about Delish Condish on Twitter maybe 3 years ago, which was started by Kashmir (she is an artist, deff check her out) and I am in love! I’ve tried their masks, toners and cleansers and I’d have to say the real star is the Bamboo and Ginseng Essence Toner. It’s formulated with bamboo, ginseng, chamomile and tamarind to heal, hydrate, moisturize and brighten your skin. I also love their Green Tea Cucumber Cleansing Milk and Honey Oat Gentle Deep Cleanser.
My Topicals
Promoting “Funner Flare-Ups,” My Topicals is on a mission to transform the way you feel about your skin. They have 2 products currently, Faded and Like Butter, and I’ve been enjoying them thus far! Faded is a gel serum (that has a sulfur-like smell) formulated to fade any stubborn dark marks and gently exfoliate your skin. Like Butter is a hydrating mask that doubles as an overnight mask! It leaves your skin smooth, soothed and moisturized.
Ixora Botanical Beauty
Now I don’t know who decided to put donkey milk on their skin, but I’d like to personally thank them. I have the Donkey Milk Chamomile Cleanser and the Donkey Milk and Argan Oil Moisturizer and omg. Donkey milk is rich in vitamin E, amino acids, vitamins A, B1, B6, C, D, E, Omega 3 and 6. The hydrating cleanser gently cleanses the skin while calming down any inflammation you may suffer from. The moisturizer is perfect for those with dry skin if you need something HELLA moisturizing but I think it works for all skin types (I have oily skin).
Black Girl Sunscreen
If you not wearing sunscreen, what you doing?! Sunscreen is probably the most important step in a morning routine and I am so glad to have a Black owned brand protecting my skin. Black Girl Sunscreen was created out of the need for Black women to be protected from the sun without having to deal with the white-overcast that was too common amongst sunscreens made more lighter people. BGS is a great moisturizing SPF that will have your skin looking very well hydrated and glowing. If you’re more of a matte girl, they have just released a matte sunscreen as well! Protect ya self!
